Spent a wonderful evening in the Conqueror, Ramsgate last night. Colin and his wife are first class hosts and the ale and cider were top quality. Only complaint is that we had such a great evening the time flew far too quickly.
The customers were a great bunch too, especially Mark and Jayne who we hope will be able to venture north when we open. If you visit, which I recommend, then the locally sourced pork pie is a must and he does a mean mature cheddar and crackers too.
The Conqueror is CAMRA's pub of the year for East Kent. They are now going head to head with the pub of the year for West Kent. My money's on The Conqueror winning pub of the year for Kent. Come on Colin lad, you can do it!!
